I think as a species and as a profession we have entered this stage where everything we do is for the ultimate purpose of making money.
I got into this tarpit of really scrutinizing ideas in my head based on whether they could be monetizable or not.
Even friends ask me if I am working on a new AI start-up, with someone on a project or just making money in general.
My reply is always No, I don’t see myself on any of that for now.
I really enjoy building software and writing code to actually solve problems. The idea of making money (for me) is really stripping that joy out of it.
I believe that for now, enjoying what I love to do is very important now that I am in the early stages of my life.
So for the next year or so, I will be focusing on one thing; Enjoying programming as it is (no capitalism attached).
This will include; building projects without libraries (to understand underlying concepts), participating in hackathons and doing weekly dev-logs and tutorials.
I will also be sharing my progress with you guys.
I would also love to know what projects you are working on. Feel free to reach out on ezekielakinfenwa98@gmail.com.
